Back in October of 2003, when I was busy working on one of my first cartoons,
"Mockerina of Time," I was apart of this high school club known as the independant short
film club (a club that Barrytoon created.) I had already announced to them that I would
show MoT at such and such a date, But soon found that I could not meet this deadline. So
to tide them off for a week, I plugged a Gamecube into the Video Input of my VCR, a
camera Microphone into the Audio Input, and make a very crude, unedited movie called
Don Keyote.
But this was not the Don Keyote I have on Newgrounds, you see in Christmas of
2004, my friend showed me the entire 1st season of Red Vs. Blue, and I realized that they
had done a very simple trick of putting 2 barlines over all the character stats and made it
VERY widescreen. Well It seemed simple enough so I decided to experement with it by
remaking Don Keyote, but with decent editing and that Barline to block out the extra junk
on the screen. I about halfway through Don Keyote, I gave up on it (the Winter of 2005
was bitter for me.) An entire year later, I was Visiting my older brother and saw that he
still had Don Keyote on his computer, and I didn't have much to upload other than Ico
Parody: Horn Head and Grim Girl, So I decided to upload this one too (I had never
bothered to put in the Barlines, and probably couldn't have anyway.) So six months ago I
uploaded Don Keyote and low and I was shocked to find that all of the reviews were
positive. Every one of them. I knew that was Partially a fluke, and the people who hated it
just didn't bother to write, but It was still a bit of a shocker.
So since demand was so strong for the sequel I began working on it. I started getting
some great ideas and before I knew it my sequel became a saga. Enjoy.
