and history.  The Eguin Kolade Gallery

displays hand made, unique objects by artists of

of the Afro-Cuban religious traditions.  Included are altar

objects or replicas,  and paintings and sculpture  representing

these traditions.  The Store offers for sale gallery pieces,

music, and authentic instruments, such as

Lukumi, Palo, and Abakua  drums, all

cermonial objects, botanica supplies, Osha-Ifa books,

produced in Cuba.  In the future, the

Archive will display

documents and images

concerning Afro-Cuban

and Black Atlantic history.

Aurora Lamar (Oba T'ola, aka La China de Maximillano), founder of the "Pimienta"
(sub) rama of Havana's Barrio Atare. La Pimienta has its root in Apoto Belen
Gonzalez, who initiated Echubi Jose "Pata de Palo" Urquiola, Lamar's godfather.
