Welcome to the team!  No doubt you’ve already met lovable old Frank,
and he’s probably filled you in on everything you really need to know to get by
around here.  This handbook just fills in the less obvious details that he might
have left out– so if you’re too cool to read it, we understand.
That's why we pay you minimum wage.

Checkmarks identify important information in each section- so pay attention!

Section 1 :

Welcome!

There are ten different characters to choose from in this version of the
game.  Each one starts with different stat upgrades, and each one starts with a
different signature move.   You can get new stat upgrades by getting
promotions, and you can learn new signatures by defeating opponents in
Versus matches.  If you’re reading this, it’s too late to change your character,
but you can always start over from the beginning, if you want.

Section 2 :

Selecting a bartender

Did you know you could pour two bottles at once?  If you release a bottle
while it’s pouring, it will keep on pouring until you click it again. This leaves
your other hand free to pour another bottle, or even to do tricks.
Buying better liquor (from the equipment screen) means that you’ll get better
tips from your customers.

If a drink calls for a lot of liquor (more than 2 oz.), you’ll have time to pull off a couple
tricks while the glass fills– that’ll keep the customers happy, especially in the later levels.

Section 3 :

Pouring Liquor

Frank covered the basics, but here are some more good things to know–
The customer’s mood bar has two colors: blue and red.  Perform tricks, and
you’ll raise the mood bar up into blue.  If the mood bar is more than halfway
blue when you serve the customer’s drink, you’ll automatically get double your
usual tip.
There are 11 tricks that you can do.  To learn them all, click Train on the
calendar menu, and then choose Flairing.

As your promotion level increases, your customers will grow more and more impatient.

Section 4 :

Entertaining Customers

Your signature trick is a powerful tool– learn how to use it.  You build up
“signature energy” when you perform combos.  When it’s full, perform the
correct mouse gesture to activate the signature.  You can see all the mouse
gestures in the Pause Menu, just select the Help item.  You can learn new
signature moves by competing in VS. mode.

If you haven’t learned to use your signatures yet, go see Frank in the Train Screen.

Increase your special stat to increase the power of your signature tricks.

Section 5 :

Signature Moves

You can upgrade just about everything in this game.  You already know about
promotions and stat upgrades, but did you know that you can upgrade the
strength of your bottles, too?  Check out the Equip menu for all the available
item upgrades.

You can upgrade your tricks, too.  Complete the Checklist items– every time you finish
a checklist, you’ll unlock something new.  Keep working at those checklists.

Section 6 :

Upgrades

Versus mode allows you to take on the other bartenders and steal their
signature tricks.  You’ll need to unlock it by completing the third checklist.

You didn’t hear it from me, but the word on the street is that completing Versus mode
will net you some cash.

Section 7 :

Versus

As you gain promotions, you’ll move from the slower shifts up to the heavier
ones.  As you advance, there will be a wider variety of drinks to serve.
Every other week, you’ll have a Power Hour shift.  Get as many customers
served as you can in the time limit– they’ll be coming four at a time.

The Shift Schedule will tell you everything you need to know about each shift in advance.

Section 8 :

Shifts

Every week, you’ll have a new bonus challenge to complete.  If you’re
successful, you’ll get the opportunity to play a bonus round.  There’s potential
to make some serious cash there.

There are three different types of bonus rounds, each designed to push your bartending
skills to the limit.

Section 9 :

Bonus Challenge

Catching bottlecaps isn’t covered anywhere else, so this is as good a time as any.  To catch a
bottlecap, just click on it after you’ve set a beer bottle down.  It’s tougher than it sounds.
There are two cheat codes in this edition of the game, you can enter them in the Cheat menu.
UNBREAKABLE  will make your bottles shatterproof.
EASYMONEY will get you some quick startup cash
