In mid 2002, Legend of the Food Nipple Grunt (LotFNG) originated on the GameFAQs Halo 2 message board as a "choose your own adventure" story. One person would write part of the story, leaving a selection of choices for the next event. Other readers then posted their votes and the most popular choice was used in the next chapter. The topic was originally created by Crow T R0bot, having hit the 500 post limit, twice, and generating some spin-offs. I started off writing every few chapters, but soon found myself being the main, and eventually only, writer, unofficially adopting LotFNG as my own. This was not necessarily a bad thing as Crow T once said, “… my creation is more worthy in the hands of Poppadop than my own.” LotFNG continued to expand until mid 2004. With my first year of college looming in the distance, I simply did not have time to maintain it. But now, thanks to our animator, N’jai, and the Macromedia Flash medium, I’m able to convey LotFNG with the same level of visual and auditory imagery that I valued in the original topics, as evident in the trailer. |
