"Every once in a while there are submissions that just blow me away, this is one of them. Let's start with the visuals, they were awesome, everything ran smooth even with the dynamic camera and everything. The intergration with the newgrounds gold account system was brilliant, people will value the achievements they get in the game more because of that. |
The sounds were pretty good as well, not a single thing out of sync as far as I could tell. The controls were solid, they all ran smoothly, and I see that you were dedicated to making sure the characters were balanced. The last part was the newgrounds humor that came with the account intergration, it feels good to kick piconjo's ass with all the spamming he used to do. |

After playing this game, we at Newgrounds Weekly concur; we found it to be well above Portal standards, and a throughly well-done game. However, we found an imbalance between certain characters which made the game slightly frustrating, such as between AH and Tankman. Still, we thought it was good- we give it a 9/10. |

Sidorio's Theory of BBS Chemistry is a wonderful gauge of the stuff that goes on the forums; it provides material definitions of the reactions that happen on the BBS, such as the well known Sp + Fl → Nb + Ba. The enlightened ones of the '06 era, with the founding of the Newgrounds University, have brought much to our current understanding of the intricacies of the BBS. |

Bigger, Longer, and Uncut |
The redesign's been the hot topic of the month, and for good reason- Newgrounds has been literally changed overnight, with new features, conveniences, and little gadgets to make your NG experience even more awesome. In the wake of such a momentous change, one has to stop and reflect. What will this mean for Newgrounds' future? Is NG heading towards the mainstream? And has the redesign actually made it BETTER? During the first 16 hours of its release, Newgrounds has attracted more viewers than ever before, and has increased the ever-growing attention the site recieves from the media as well as the at-home web surfer. I will not attempt to speculate where Newgrounds will be in the long run, for we all know that that is impossible. Only time will tell. Some users have also complained that Newgrounds is heading towards the mainstream- which the redesign subtly hints. I myself have noticed that the redone background as well as |

the bubbly letters on the main bar have considerably changed- also, avatars and such are more used in this new NG, reminiscent of Facebook or Myspace profiles, I'm disappointed to say. We are, in fact, heading towards the mainstream Net, which has both its curses and blessings. However, what the layout does provide is an excellent example to others in terms of wickedly stylish design, as well as coding- quite frankly, the layout (despite its minor flaws) is much better than the shitty interfaces on most Flash game sites as well as most sites on the Web. And on top of that it runs with efficient smoothness- it hasn't failed on me yet. So, yes, I do believe the redesign has improved Newgrounds. I still miss some parts of the old NG though :( The layout, on the whole, represents a general transition of the entire Net from a demographic of only geeks (that's us) to the average person. --The Newgrounds Theory of Relativity-- |
Revolutionary new ideas are hard to come by these days on the forums- fortunately for us, one such rarity has transformed the way we look at the BBS. A new breakthrough in moderation calculus has revealed a fundemental truth about our posting. The new theory, known as the Newgrounds Theory of Relativity, demonstrates to us that there are limits to our posting that are not entirely dependent on just rules and mods- the author of this theory even goes to suggest that we cannot post over a certain limit, which he calls Q. |
According to the theory, three facts are evident: 1. The rules of the BBS are the same to observers of equal standing. 2. A ban is the same for all observers, regardless of post. 3. One who posts at a moderate rate is less likely to get banned than one who posts excessively. The theory states that it is impossible to exceed Q posts per day, because as one approaches Q, the duration of resultant bans becomes infinite (an infinite sum of short- term bans). is absolutely essential to post velocity- up until now, the relationship between coolness and post count increase has been loosely defined.
