Ok... just so you know this might be a little to advanced for some folks... Lip sync is important some times
but at other times you can fake it!
This tutorial will teach you about:
1. Phonims.... What are they?
2. Body language... it's what they arn't saying...
3. Faking it... Easy ways out of hard work...
4. How to set your audio so it stays in sync.
5. what you should NOT do.

You know the drill I'm sure... hit the next button...

Ok..   Once again first step you take is... EVERYBODY...
PLANNING!
I bet you are tired of reading that by now... but it's very
important!  So draw your character using the basic
guidelines from "ANIMATION TUTORIAL 2" and then take
the character's head off he body... copy it and paste it
into a NEW MOVIE!

This handsome fellow is named "BONGO" he is going to be our test subject for this tutorial.   Right now there
is no animation on him... he is just a head with his mouth closed.. I choose to start from this point.  This is
all a matter of preferance though... you can start with the mouth WIDE OPEN if you like... this has it's own
advantages... but for this tutorial we are starting with the mouth closed... feel free to take a screenshot of
bongo's head and trace it in flash.  Just if you use it in any animations... Give me credit PLEASE.  so we need
to make his lips move...  THIS IS WHERE PHONIMs COME INTO PLAY!

when you make a vocal noise.
Wierd word for making faces... that all..
So we need to be able to move parts of bongo's face around...
there are several ways to do this. One is redrawing his head
for each phonim that needs to be in the animation...
another is to rip his jaw off and draw in the big gap that is left .
Lazy mans way.. Is the Slack  Jawed Wierdo...
This saves us from having to redraw the whole head. we can use

Lets face it we don't only talk with our mouths...
We communicate with our whole bodies...
Your characters shouldn't be any different...
Hold your mouse over each of the Bongo's here and you
will see that one is more convincing than the other...
