Hi there. I'm Arkzones from Stickiller
Website.
I'll teach some painting skills, using
Gradient and Alpha stuff. We are going
to do A detailed head like this image
You need
to have skills in Gradient and Grouping
Objects (ctrl+G).
Click in the arrow below, then lets start

The first step:
Draw a circle, using Linear Gradient
with two different colors. An natural
color ( Blue or red) And, a little darker
version of this same color
I Used these colors:

    #0567A6           ->         #1386D0

You can copy these text area using your mouse^^

alpha 100%

Then, copy the circle (ctrl+C), and paste
it in the same place (Shift+ctrl+V), Dont
Unclick it Yet, now you'll group this
single circle, using ctrl+G, then click
twice on it.
Now you need to draw lines on it, Use the
Ink Bottle Tool ( U key ), with the color
Black with 49% alpha., to fill the circle
borders
Using the Line Tool ( N ) , draw some
lines like the first picture
Paint the Left area of the circle using:
Now you need to delete the right circle
area, and the middle lines ;p

    #0377C2           ->          #44B2F9

alpha 50%

here goes the third color "layer"in our
sphere, All you need is to copy paste and
group the first esphere again.
We'll use the radial gradient.
The trick is, using semi transparent
colors, resulting in some Light efects
Try it using these colors:
Back to the main work area, and see the
results...

   #FFFFFF     ->   #0276C1  ->  #47B5FC

If you did it all correctly you'll have
some good results, you'll do the second
part of tutorial with no problems, And
you'll be able to create tons of another
efects. Or Else, if you had problems
doing these steps
You need to pay attention the colors of
the Gradients and its positions:

   #FFFFFF     ->   #0276C1  ->  #47B5FC

    #0567A6           ->         #1386D0

    #0377C2           ->          #44B2F9

Next Step, the eyes. In japanease
cartoon style, an eye can be designed
using any geometrical figure, I made my
picture usnig a triangle.I'm Still Using
Black Line Borders with alpha 49%
Then, i put the Linear Gradient:
Remeber to group the eye selection, or
you can have problems editing it like
showed in the second picture.

    #E1E1E1           ->         #FFFFFF

Click twice in the eye object, with eth
circle tool ( O ), trace a small sphere ,
with no colors, Draw it, between the
outer and inner side of the eye.
Dont paint it yet. Click the ineer sphere
side, then copy, paste, and group it
(ctrl+C, shift+ctrl+V, ctrl+G),
Delete now the line area.

Double Click the inner grouped area, ten
paint it Using this Radial Gradient:
Modify the position of colors the
gradient making some stuff like:

   #000000           ->         #000000

             #000000   ->    #000000

You'll use one more time
crtl+C, shift+ctrl+V, ctrl+G. Now, you
paint this newer grouped area using
this Linear Gradient:
All you need now is to fit the position

   #FFFFFF          ->         #000000

alpha 75%

As i told before, it's almost the same
head's drawning steps, if you learnt it
well, that would be easy.

Copy and paste the eye. but Dont forget
to adjust the eyes position ;p
For this last part, all you need is draw a
line, then group it.

Double-click the group of the mouth,
then close it in a square, using 3 lines
Modify the curve of lines
And then paint, using:

Now you need to delete the last lines.

Oeoe. Aqui é o Arkzones, da Stickiller.
Nesse tutorial, aprenderemos a colorir
por Degradê e transparência. O
objetivo é fazer a cabeça igual ao do
Noob ao lado.
Você precisa
ter noções de Degradê/Gradient e
objetos agrupados (ctrl+G).
Clique na setinha lá em baixo para
começarmos ;p

Primeiro passo:
Desenhe um circulo em Degradê Linear
Dentre dois tons. um em sua cor natural,
outro um pouco mais escuro.
Aqui eu usei:

    #0567A6           ->         #1386D0

Você pode copiar passando o mouse por cima ^^

Em Seguida, copie o circulo (ctrl+C), E
cole no mesmo lugar (Shift+ctrl+V), Não
tire o mouse de cima dele, agora, você irá
agrupa-lo, usando o ctrl+G, Clique duas
vezes nele.
Você precisa traçar linhas dele, primeiro
use a ferramenta Ink Bottle (tecle U ),
escolha a cor preta com alfa de 49%.
Com a ferramenta de traçar linhas ( N )
faça algo semelhante a primeira imagem
Pinte com o degradê das seguintes cores:
Se precisar, apague o lado direito da
esfera, depois, apague
as linhas do meio

    #0377C2           ->          #44B2F9

Aqui vai a terceira camada de cores da
esfera, tudo o que precisa é, copiar, colar
e agrupar a primeira esfera denovo.
Agora temos que aplicar um degradê
radial.
O segredo agora, é você fazer com que as
cores sejam meio transparentes, dando
efeito de luz.
Tente usar as seguintes cores:
Volte, e veja se ficou igual a segunda
figura ;p

   #FFFFFF     ->   #0276C1  ->  #47B5FC

Se você seguiu ao menos as instruções de
como usar as ferramentas, conseguirá o
resultado desejado, seguirá facilmente o
resto do tutorial, e poderá criar
os efeitos de luz que quiser.
Caso tenha se confundido ou errado algo,
Preste atenção nas cores e suas posições:

   #FFFFFF     ->   #0276C1  ->  #47B5FC

    #0567A6           ->         #1386D0

Vamos ao olho. O desenho de um olho, no
estilo mangá pode ser feito a partir de
qualquer forma geométrica, no caso eu
usei um triangulo. Em suas bordas,
continuei a usar a linha preta de alpha
49%.
Pra colorir, usei o degradê linear:
Lembre-se de agrupar o obejtos antes
de encaixar na figura, ou poderá
acontecer feito na figura 2.

    #E1E1E1           ->         #FFFFFF

Clique duas vezes no olho agrupado, com a
ferramenta circulo ( O ), trace uma
esfera , sem cor entre a parte de fora e
a parte de dentro do olho.
Não pinte ainda. Clique no interior da
esfera, copie a area, cole por cima, e a
agrupe (ctrl+C, shift+ctrl+V, ctrl+G),
Apague em seguida a linha preta do
circulo.

Agora, clique duas vezes na bolinha
agrupada, e aplique um degradê radial
Usando:
Ajuste a posição da cor e a intensidade
para ficar parecida com a segunda figura,
Mais ou menos assim:

   #000000           ->         #000000

             #000000   ->    #000000

Mais uma vez
crtl+C, shift+ctrl+V, ctrl+G. Após fazer o
mesmo processo de duplicar e agrupar.
Você pintará a nova bolinha com
o seguinte Gradiente Linear:
Aí é só acertar a posição.

   #FFFFFF          ->         #000000

Como eu havia dito antes, Nessa parte do
olho, se você entendeu as etapas
da cabeça, foi muito fácil.

Duplique o olho. Mas não se esqueça de
arrumar o olho agrupado invertido
depois ;p
Aproveite, e desenhe a linha da boca, a
agrupe em seguida.
Aproveite não, ISSO É UMA ORDEM!

Agora, abra a boca agrupada, em seguida
trace 3 linhas, fechando a parte de baixo
em um quadrado.
entorte um pouco al linhas, até ficar
parecido com a figura 2.
Em seguida pinte:

Apague as linhas restantes.

E isso é tudo pessoal, tudo o que quis <sbr />passar aqui foi o básico de coloração por <sbr />transparencia, Pro resultado aí na sua <sbr />casa ficar bom ou não vai depender da <sbr />sua criatividade.
