My memory will not remain
for any ear to listen to

But perhaps it will be there
for an eye to read

And a heart to feel

My life was not a very pleasant one

I used to live in my own lonely world

Although I put a smile for my family to
relief their doubts towards me

Seconds were like minutes

Minutes were like hours

Hours were like days

And each day was like an eternity

My life was already feeling like something
I wish I could avoid

But I had no options

For I was just a child

Sensitive to emotion

And striving towards finding a warm body
to lean on

A heart to belong to

My life started to have its meaning

On the day that I met a person of my age

One with a strong will

And a gentle heart

We soon became best friends

With a very special bond

For we completed each other

We shared happiness

We shared sadness

We both had our worries about the other

Worries that the other would get himself in
harm’s way

We both cared for each other ever so
much

And we both have finally found a place

To belong to

Days passed like hours

Hours passed like minutes

Minutes passed like seconds

And each second passed as a blessing

Many years have passed

I was fortunate to have found a woman
with a heart like no other

A heart so filled with kindness

That I found hard to resist admiring

I married her

She gave birth to my only son

A son that reminded me of myself

A son that I cared for more than anything

A son that made my goal in life to watch
him grow

And to watch what his life will become

In watching him

I remembered my life

I learned more about

LIFE

To every leader of
military power

To every terrorist and
murderer

To every country leader
who is bent on the
thought of war

And the thought of
bringing justice through
war
