| Two point perspective |
| Hello there. I am once again making another perspective tutorial, but this is 2 point perspective! This should be easier to understand for most people, since it uses less vanishing points. |
| Well lets start. Today my example will be a street corner. |
| First, draw a vertical line. |
| Then draw 2 vanishing points either side of the line |
| Now, join the top and bottom of the horizontal line to the vanishing points, as shown. |
| Of course, the street will end. So, now we have to draw two horizontal lines either side, like in the image below. |
| Erase those unwanted lines. DO NOT WIPE OUT THE VANISHING POINTS. |
| I'm sure you can see the strret forming, but what are building without features like windows and doors? |
| Now pay attention, we have to draw lines to where we want the top and bottomn of the features to be, these lines are called orthogonal lines. |
| Check my example below to see how to do them, I will draw orthogonal lines in red. |
| 1. Sperate the street into sveral buildings |
| 2.Mark on some points to show the tops of features |
| 3.Draw line from the points (this doesn't need to be exact they can miss the points a bit) to the vanishing point. |
| Now, using those lines as a guide, draw in the features. See image below for help. |
| Also delete all of the red lines. |
| Sure that's great, but what about the roofs? |
| So, extend the horizontal line in the middle, then draw two lines to the vanishing points. |
| Now, draw two horizontal lines where the street ends, like below. |
| Now, erase the excess lines. I'm sure you've got how to add things, so when you're done doing that, colour it. |
